Between Iceland and Berlin, a painting practice unfolds, attuned to the lingering presence of place in matter.
Stone, water, lichen, moss: substances that transform and continue to breathe within the work, slowly, persistently, in contact with light and time.
Color arises from movement. Mineral and botanical pigments respond to moisture and temperature.
Canvases dyed in the Icelandic fjord, exposed to snow, northern light, and charged currents, immersed in mineral baths.
In Berlin, these traces condense, settle, and dissolve again.
The material flows, evaporates, blooms, yet its handling remains controlled, precise, still.
Painting as a porous field, within a quiet rhythm where the material and the atmospheric meet.
In the space, it extends – scent, ceramic forms, sound: traces of the same resonance, a faint echo of matter and time.

Zwischen Island und Berlin entfaltet sich eine Malerei, die in Beziehung geht, zum Nachklang des Ortes im Material.
Stein, Wasser, Flechten, Moos: Stoffe, die sich verwandeln und im Werk weiter atmen, langsam, anhaltend, im Kontakt mit Licht und Zeit.
Farbe entsteht aus Bewegung. Pigmente, mineralisch wie pflanzlich, reagieren auf Feuchtigkeit und Temperatur.
Leinwände im isländischen Fjord gefärbt, dem Schnee, dem Nordlicht, den Teilchenströmen ausgesetzt, in Mineralsude getaucht.
In Berlin verdichten sich diese Spuren, setzen sich ab, lösen sich wieder.
Das Material darf fließen, verdunsten, ausblühen, doch der Umgang bleibt kontrolliert, präzise, still.
Malerei als offenes System, ein stiller Rhythmus, in dem sich das Materielle und das Atmosphärische berühren.
Im Raum dehnt es sich aus: eine ätherische Substanz, keramische Formen, Klang – Spuren derselben Resonanz, ein leises Echo von Materie und Zeit.
